The giraffe (🦒) is a tall and graceful mammal known for its long neck, distinctive coat pattern, and towering presence. With their elongated legs and necks, giraffes are the tallest land animals, reaching heights of up to 18 feet (5.5 meters). They have large, expressive eyes and ossicones (horn-like structures) on top of their heads. Their coat features a beautiful patchwork of brown spots on a light tan background, providing excellent camouflage in their natural habitat. Giraffes are herbivores, feeding primarily on leaves from acacia trees using their long tongues. These gentle giants are found in savannas and woodlands across sub-Saharan Africa and are admired for their unique appearance and peaceful nature.
